BABY/BABY Ensemble’s first performance is about love’s shipwreck, and what we do with ourselves and each other with love that is injured deep in its core. Where do we go when love isn’t there, when we are neglected?

The performance’s key words are abuse and innocence, and the role of these in inward self-destruction and outward non-stop emotional dysfunction as a consequence. Love has turned against us and eats us from within, piece by piece.

BABY/BABY IS ABOUT what happens with a person when love is betrayed. But BABY/BABY is also about looking one’s demons in the eyes and being true to oneself and daring on love’s dream in hopes that our loved ones will still love us.
