ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
DEEP RED
- a performance by Peter Holmgård and BLEEDER GROUP

September 8-10 + 13-15, 2005
Death dance in Kanonhallen… again… this time the apocalypse is apparently really enough… the scaffolding rises out of the theater’s darkness as some kind of gothic amusement park… there are actors too, they eat peas, and it’s spooky… the performance has begun before you can even say “performative sculpture that narrativises the dramatic relationship between the grotesque and the sublime as it relates this connection’s excessiveness and demonstrability…” fortunately, the bar is open.

The performance stretches over six days and develops from day to day with changing directors and performers.

With Peter Holmgård, THE BLEEDER GROUP, Vagn Olsson, Lulu, Sarah Boberg, Per Flink Basse, Jan Munkbad, Thomas Hejlesen, and others.

In 2004, Kanonhallen presented Denise Ziegler, Mikko Maasalo & Peter Holmgård’s KIDNEY&PYRAMID, in which the BLEEDER GROUP performed. DEEP RED is the second part of this cooperation, that continues in Spring 2007 with a pompous musical-dramatic production of Victor Hugo’s THE MAN THAT LAUGHED.
