In a time marked by cultural debate, holy
wars and everyday ideological mud casting, can’t
one wonder what our society’s values are actually
built upon?
Mammutteatret has produced a performance to explore this
serious question with its foundation in one of the most
important books in modern history, Karl Marx’s Das
Kapital.
Three actresses give the grand theories physical form.
Practical examples are visualized. Dance will often become
necessary as the plot-bearing element.
However, the performance is devoid of song because, in
our opinion, far too many songs have already been written
with Das Kapital as inspiration, for example “Eat
the Rich”, and “If I were a Rich Man”.
